Students can choose between Music Production or Live Sound Engineering in this course. It will require students to have access to a laptop/desktop computer with a DAW loaded I.e. Either Logic, Protools, Ableton Live, Cubase or any other workable studio program & that will be available on Zoom. The course covers basic production techniques, concepts and basic track mixing techniques. (I.e. Using different sounds in composing, editing Midi, using compression, EQ, panning, reverb etc.) Students will be required to create tracks within the guidelines provided applying the skills they’ve learned. Playing the keyboard or an instrument is not a requirement to complete this course.
The course however will require an in-person session at the end of the module to monitor their experience working with equipment and acoustics in a live setting and applying what they have learnt.
